The staff at the Gastric Band Institute Center of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery strive to make your bariatric surgical experience pleasant from start to finish.  We take our roles as educators and support persons seriously as we aim to help you achieve your greatest goals. 

Brooke Lindsey, RN, CBN serves as our Bariatric Surgery Clinical Nurse Coordinator.  She is a Certified Bariatric Nurse and has been employed by the Gastric Band Institute since 2002.  She is a registered nurse licensed in both Georgia and Tennessee.  She performs laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding adjustments as well as coordinates patient education, support groups,  and day to day office activities.  She is a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), the Tennessee Chapter for the ASMBS, the Obesity Action Coalition, and is a member of the National Association for Bariatric Nurses. 

Jennifer Russell serves as a staff nurse for bariatric patients at the Gastric Band Institute. Jennifer is a registered nurse and is licensed in Tennessee.   She conducts Pre-Operative class with patients prior to surgery as well as specializes in follow up with patients post-operatively.

Amy Bates serves as scheduling coordinator. She schedules patients for all appointment types including informational sessions, surgical consultations, follow up appointments, band adjustments, and educational sessions. 

Michelle Lawrence serves as financial specialist working with all aspects of insurance and cash payment for surgical patients.
